About the NSCA
The National Scrip Collectors Association promotes the collection of antique scrip and related tokens, and encourages the study and research of industry as related to the historic usage of scrip tokens. The scope of the NCSA includes tokens from such industries as coal, lumber, phosphate, hard rock, limestone, copper, gold & silver, brick & clay, cotton & textile, paper, iron & steel, and agricultural.
The National Scrip Collectors Association compiles and publishes the famed Edkins Catalogs, the authoritative guides to collecting and valuing coal and lumber industry scrip.
One year’s membership in the National Scrip Collectors Association is only $15 and includes:
Six bi-monthly issues of the Scrip Talk newsletter, a ten-page journal with features on scrip history, club events, auctions, new finds, and free ads for members.
The opportunity to attend the Association’s Spring & Fall Shows, where members may set up tables to trade, buy & sell.
And most importantly, membership in the NSCA puts you in contact with people who share your interest in scrip – people who can answer your questions, help you find the missing pieces in your collection, and who will add to your enjoyment of scrip, token, and coin collecting!
